The Chairs I Can’t Get Rid Of

by Liz Dowling

Well, my 25 year-old chairs are recovered – again.

I wrote a post about them in May.  I have been dying to TOSS both and get something new!

Family protests (girls want them) and a dog who fits perfectly in a little nook pushed me to do a quick update instead.

I took the skirts off the chairs and ottoman and added new wooden feet.

I restuffed all the cushions with fresh down.

Vibrant new Kravet chenille fabric should extend the life of these chairs another 4-5 years.  Lucky me!

I will admit, the chairs look “fresher” and it was definitely a more reasonable alternative than buying everything new.

I am still not crazy about the scroll arms and bulky back cushions though…..

The money I saved not buying new chairs, I am planning on using towards a kitchen “reasonable redesign” that I am gearing up for in the fall!  That project I am REALLY excited about.

Here is the original post about the chairs before…….

They look great …maybe being “stuck” with them for a few more years won’t be so bad!
