NEW & NOTEWORTHY
ON BLOCK ISLAND

New & Noteworthy ~ four adorable stores on Block Island!

Tori Jones Studio was a pop-up last summer, but now she has a permanent spot at 441 Dodge Street. Beautiful vintage and antique items for the home ~ with a focus on New England pieces ~ create a warm, personal atmosphere.

The whole store is a feast for the eyes!

With a background in textiles and design, Tori brings her artistic eye to everything.

Love this vintage backgammon set from France.

Tori has a rotating series of artist exhibits to showcase a wide variety of talent. Right now, she is featuring paintings by Mary Breneman from Hudson, NY.

Definitely stop by and see this lovely store. Completely new & noteworthy!

Mary MacGill opened her Block island studio in 2018, but her collection is constantly changing, so I had to put it on the noteworthy list.

Mary MacGill started her career with a fine jewelry company in New York City. Inspired by the ocean, grasses and coastline of Block Island, she created her first jewelry collection using semi-precious stones and sold it at the local BI farmers’ market.

The response was overwhelming and Mary MacGill jewelry was established.

Along with her beautiful jewelry, Mary sells clothing, accessories, art and pieces for the home.

She also has a year-round studio in Germantown, NY.

All of the stones and pearls are personally sourced and selected by Mary for their unique and natural inclusions. My friend just bought the yellow bracelet in the middle – love it!

Stop by and check-out all of the beautiful pieces in this lovely studio at 64 1/2 Dodge Street.

Marye-Kelley opened her first store in 2012 at 233 Dodge Street. The new & noteworthy part is the annex attached to it that she just opened this summer!

Her original store has lots of gifts for the home and entertaining. The new annex has the GOODS to go with those gifts!

Think artisanal cocktail mixes, amazing cheeses, blue cheese potato chips, gourmet crackers, nuts, mustards, dips and so on.

I can’t tell you how HAPPY I am to have this on Block Island. This is the perfect place to pop in before a cocktail party and bring your hostess an amazing gift. Or, treat your guests to some delicious hors d’ oeuvres that are not shipped in from Trader Joes!

Along with all of this delicious food are the cute platters, cheese knives, straw bags, wooden cutting boards and anything else you might need to walk out with a fully formed picnic.

Run, don’t walk, to this new section of Marye-Kelley so we can make it a big success!

My last new & noteworthy feature is COAST. Located at 448 Ocean Avenue, COAST is a collection of things anyone would want and need for gardening.

A hat to keep the sun off your face, fresh cut flowers…

Adorable gardening kits for kids.

There is a wide range of things to look at, so give yourself time to browse.
