Beach Shades

by Liz Dowling

I am re-posting an archive from May 2015 this week.  I will have something new next week, but I’m preoccupied with our house sale. Making sure my bed is made, toothbrush is hidden, white towels are not touched and looking for half of my stuff because I have no idea where I hid it! Rhino is now on CBD treats because she is so annoyed with me.

This post is from our trip to Harbour Island in 2015, a much needed boost of sun and color because it has rained here in the Northeast for the past 500 days. Not to mention, I actually wore a down coat to dinner last Friday night…

I love the dramatic contrast of color at the beach, perfectly set against pale sand and a blue sky.

It makes me want to paint all my walls white and throw down a seagrass rug in every room – which is basically what I did to stage my house!

Our trip inspired me to feature color in a bunch of new interior design projects.

These photos make me feel a little warmer and hopeful that (spring?) summer is right around the corner. Although, I am keeping the umbrella and coat close at hand for now – rain and 50/60 degree temps are still in the forecast…
