Atlanta in July… Â Hmmm. Â At the urging of my college roommate, I headed down to Atlanta earlier this month for the Gift & Home Show.

John Robeshaw Pillows
This is a HUGE show. Â Multiple buildings with 18-20 floors each. Â Since I have the attention span of a flea at these things, I coordinated it so I only had one full day at the show. Â A full day for Ivy (college roommate) is arriving at 9:00am and leaving at 6:00pm.
A full day for me is 10 – 3… Â Maybe!
There were some definite perks to the trip. Â My brother and his wife live there, so I got to see them, which was great! Â Ivy and I ate at some fabulous restaurants with fun people from Atlanta.
We ate at Cooks and Soldiers, The Optimist and Gunshow. Â All three amazing. Â I am still thinking about the incredible kale salad I had at The Optimist.
The day I went to the show, Ivy and her business partner were headed to the Gift building. Â I peeled off and went to the Home building. Â I started on the 15th floor (floors 16-20 were all Holiday Decor) and worked my way down.
This is serious business! Â I strapped on my Adidas and threw multiple water bottles in my bag.
Everyone in Atlanta is so nice. Â All of the showrooms had food and drink for those of us who get cranky after one or two floors.
There are so many great things to see! Â Furniture, fabric, lighting, rugs, art. Â The list goes on.

 Â
I finished all 15 floors in the Home building (shocker) and headed over to meet Ivy and Pam in the Gift building.
I lasted about another hour before I pulled the rip cord and headed back to the hotel.
It was a fabulous trip, I am so glad I went. Â I left with a ton of new ideas!
 Â
Till next time Atlanta.
