The Glass Onion

by Liz Dowling

I love a store that meets all of your unexpected needs.

The Glass Onion on Block Island is just that.

When you need the dress for the party.  The earrings and the hostess gift.

Mary MacGill Jewelry

It is all here!!

It is a little jewel box of a store.  Tiny and chock full of treasures.

The owner, Mary Philips, is uber stylish and island cool.  Everything in the store is curated by her personally.

I cannot tell you how many gifts, outfits and fabulous things for my home I’ve purchased at the Glass Onion.

Saint James dresses

Mary is opening up a pop-up shop down the street and I got a sneak preview!

241 Water Street on Block Island, you can’t miss it.

I am a small business fan and this is one to support – come by and check it out!

We were on the Block in October, and I bought a wonderful, circular, bar of soap at the G.O. before we left. It’s almost gone, and I would love to buy a few more bars (maybe a box) to have a give away. The soap is green in color, and the scent is prominent without being overpowering. Does this description ring a bell and is it possible to order from you?

I would call the Glass Onion directly. Unfortunately, I can’t help you with this.
