la fin de l’ete

The Dowlings did not master the art of the selfie this summer.

Block Island Wind Farm all lit up Memorial Day Weekend

The summer that flew by in a BLINK.  Where did it go?

It feels like yesterday (May) that I updated our fireplace on Block Island.

Now the Pumpkin Spice Latte is rearing its little head.

My favorite North by Northeast glasses were dragged out for the summer season, along with the mold on my porch railing.

The 2017 Wry Home summer candle, sold exclusively at the Glass Onion.

Putting Emily to work passing the DOGS.

Our own little Weiner dog happily sunbathing.

The summer of crazy hydrangeas!

Too many beautiful vistas…..

A fun work trip to LA.

Another work outing in New York.

Lovely nights in Rye.

Lobster GRILLED CHEESE!

A little nostalgia: Mrs. Kelley’s (left) is the first place we ever stayed on Block Island in 1988 AND Payne’s “killer donuts” (right) have been on BI forever.  Crunchy on the outside, melt-in-your mouth on the inside.

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL summer.

Happy Fall!

Pictures are gorge! Love the pic of Em but wait no mustard?? Indeed crazy hydrangeas here in Newport too – though had people for last lobster last night and could barely gather enough blooms for a small arrangement! Here for the month of September so hoping to enjoy some more golden afternoons! xx
